  14. Help!
  15. Is it possible, other than by using system(...), to perform various file
  16. and directory manipulation functions on the Unix platform? I'm
  17. desperately trying to use Icon as a perl replacement, but I cannot seem
  18. to create directories easily. It seems like functions such as chdir are
  19. available, though the rest appear to be absent.
